Hello there! My name is Rita Do, and I am the Secretary of ASW for 2026. I am on my last year of completing my Bachelor of Science majoring in Biomedical Science with a minor in Environmental Sustainability.  I am fascinated with studying natural products, and understand how they interact with cellular pathways at a mechanistic level. I want to contribute to biomedical innovation that respects ecological balance and long-term environmental stewardship.

I am very passionate about being a part of ASW as I strongly believe that women should feel confident, capable, and assertive in their scientific ability. Representation and community matter in STEM, and I’m committed to contributing to an environment where women are empowered to lead, research boldly, and pursue ambitious scientific careers. 

Outside of university, I am prepping for a bodybuilding competition, trying to get better at Gundam TCG, and I watch a lot of anime.
