Nope, not at all! We want our club's initiatives to be as accessible as possible for everyone.

No! Although our mission is to support women in STEM, you do not need to be a woman or studying/working in a STEM field to be part of our community. We encourage anyone who believes in our mission to join our community. 

You do not need to be an AUT student to be an ASW member. Our club is open to everyone willing to support our mission. However, we may occasionally host events that are exclusive to AUT students. This will be communicated in our promotional material if necessary.

To receive discounts at our partnered companies, you will need to have the ASW Membership Sticker. This can ONLY be collected in person at our events or expos. Simply ask one of our friendly executive members, and they will confirm your membership and provide you with the sticker. The sticker will not be emailed to anyone, no exceptions. 

Executive members are people in the club who run everything behind the scenes. From organising events to promoting the club, and ensuring everything is running smoothly - they do it all. Without our executive team, ASW would not be a thing. And even more importantly, being an executive is a volunteer role. Our lovely executive team is taking time out of their busy schedule to support an important cause, and we highly appreciate your support too. 

Any openings we have in our executive team will be posted on our social media and on our website. Keep an eye out for any open roles!

You do not need to be a woman or in STEM to be part of the executive team. What's more important is your skills and abilities, work ethic, ability to work in a team, and passion for our mission.
