Hello, I’m Rafaela Tolosa. I’m one of AWS’s General Executives for 2026, and I am in my 2nd year of Bachelor of Science major in Biomedical Science and Computer Science at AUT. I’m passionate about the intersection of healthcare and technology, especially AI in medicine, including medical imaging, diagnostics, and biomedical engineering. I am curious about the potential of data-driven innovation and computational technologies to transform patient care and biomedical research.

I’m grateful to be part of ASW, a community dedicated to empowering and uplifting women in STEM. It excites me to grow academically and professionally while building meaningful connections and contributing positively to a community that supports women.

Outside of university, I volunteer with a team that helps stray and abandoned cats find loving homes. I also spend my free time watching movies/series, hiking, games and baking.
